Jury sworn to try Anjem Choudary on terror charges

A jury has been sworn in to try radical Muslim preacher Anjem Choudary for allegedly directing and supporting the activities of a banned terrorist organisation. Choudary, 57, and Canadian national Khaled Hussain, 29, were arrested last July for alleged membership of Al-Muhajiroun. Choudary denies directing Al-Muhajiroun and addressing meetings of the Islamic Thinkers Society in a way which encouraged support for ALM.
