Romanian nurse’s constipation cure – a pen and a straw

  A Romanian care home nurse who tried to alleviate a dementia patient’s constipation using a drinking straw and pen has been struck off. Traian Dumitrescu was treating an elderly man at the Crosfield House Care Home in Powys, Wales, at the time of the incident on 30 January 2014, the Nursing and Midwifery Council heard.
