Rabbi appears in court ahead of assault trial

A respected Golders Green rabbi has arrived at court ahead of his trial for two charges of sexual assaulting a young woman. Rabbi Chaim Halpern, 68, denies the two charges against him which date back to 1 June 2022. He became the subject of a police investigation after the complainant made allegations against him to a journalist from Channel 12 News in Israel later that year.
