Accused killer of ‘florist man of Islington’ to stand trial in July 2022

An alleged killer charged with murdering a popular florist will stand trial in July next year, a court heard. Tony Eastlake, 55, known as the ‘flower man of Islington’ by customers, was stabbed to death on Essex Road, Islington, on 29 May. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene at 5.27pm and provided first aid but despite their best efforts Mr Eastlake was pronounced dead soon after.
