Accused of trying to kill a cop with a biro

A homeless man accused of trying to murder an on-duty female police officer by stabbing her in the face with a pen will stand trial next year. PC Alexandra Dobbs was attacked while she was making an arrest in Manor Park Crescent, Edgware, northwest London, at around 10.25am on August 16. Adrian Popa, 39, appeared at the Old Bailey  via video-link from HMP Belmarsh charged with attempted murder. He spoke only to confirm his details his trial will be fixed…
