Albanian killer sent home

An Albanian killer who paid a judge to release him from jail is facing deportation. Gentian Doda, 40, gave a Tirana judge €30,000 (£26,500) in 23 May 2017 in exchange for his conviction being changed from ‘murder’ to ‘injury.’ Judge Shkëlqim Miri was convicted of corruption last year and jailed for two and half years in part of a crackdown against judicial corruption.
