Appeal denied for HS2 mole
An HS2 ‘mole’ who spent two weeks living in a tunnel he had dug under rail link construction work has had his appeal against conviction refused. Elliot Cuciurean, 24, burrowed under the site at Cash’s Pit, Warwickshire, between 16 and 18 March 2021. It cost HS2 around £195,000 to safely remove him. Cuciurean who is known as ‘Jellytot’ believes HS2 is causing irreversible and unjustified damage to the environment.
