A bar manager who transferred customer refunds into his own bank account has claimed the money was paying for treatment costs for his sick sister in Angola. Jose Estevao, 35, switched £1,448.51 when he was the general manager of Patch Bar in Aldgate, east London between 1 April 2024 and 20 May 2025.
