‘Stoned biker killed this pensioner’

A biker has denied killing a pensioner while under the influence of cannabis. Danny Barnes, 50, was driving a BMW sports bike when he hit 87-year-old Harry Bent in Acre Lane, Brixton, southwest London on 24 April last year. Officers and ambulance crews attended the scene at just after 3:45pm and Mr Bent, from Croydon, was taken to hospital where he later died.
