Booze burglar faces jail time

A burglar who broke into a pub and stole £2,000 worth of booze during the lockdown is facing a lengthy jail sentence. Desmond Kelly, 30, forced his way into The Regent Pub & Restaurant in Chestnut Grove, Balham, southwest London, and helped himself to 15 bottles of spirits on April 13. Kelly, originally from Dublin, claimed he was on his way on his way to meet his girlfriend when he found the pub’s door was open. But he admitted burglary…
