‘Bosses fiddled the Tube’

Four business executives have appeared in court charged with defrauding London Underground by submitting invoices for for non-existent maintenance work. Ougbenga Shonubi, 42, allegedly created false documents for work which he knew to be false, between 1 September 2008 and 21 May 2015. Sean Downes, 40, Bernadette Downes, 65, and Michael Downes, 66, are charged with conspiring with Shonubi to dishonestly make false representations to London Underground Ltd for maintenance work conducted by Thorntask Ltd.
