Buckingham Palace intruder goes to secure ward

An intruder caught trespassing in the grounds of Buckingham Palace days before the Platinum Jubilee celebrations has been detained under the Mental Health Act. Connor Attridge, 29, managed to slip through the vehicle gate of the Royal Mews after it was opened to allow through an authorised car on 29 May, it was said.
