Burglar did £12k from the bakery

A career burglar who was caught with a crowbar and hammer after stealing £12,000 from a popular London bakery has been spared jail. Danny Rooney was arrested after a looting spree which included attacks on a Pret-a-Manger and Charlie’s Bakery in Wood Green on 31 March. The 44-year-old pleaded guilty after CCTV footage discovered by the bakery owners showed him smashing a window and ransacking the premises.
