Burglar took the cake – not the biscuit

A burglar who had his cake and ate it has been jailed for two years. Robert Fitzjohn, 44, broke into March Town Hall in Market Place, between 5.30pm on Monday, 15 April, and 8.30am on Tuesday, 16 April. He smashed a window to access to an office where he searched through a safe and cupboard before stealing cheque books, bank cards, a bottle of prosecco and another small safe.
