Carer spared jail over wine bar bottle attack

A carer who bottled another woman in the face for pushing past her at a busy wine bar was spared jail. Jessica Armstrong, 39, grabbed the glass container from the bar and hurled it at Tammy Hunter during a ‘slanging match’ at closing time. Ms Hunter suffered a cut above her left eye and had to have eight stitches in hospital. Armstrong admitted the assault at the Old Bailey and was sentenced to 20 weeks imprisonment suspended for two years….
