Charged with sex assaults – but carried on teaching

A maths tutor who was allowed to continue teaching children for more than a year after being charged with sexually assaulting young boys is facing jail. Yi Liu, 63, admitted abusing four male pupils between 2012 and 2018 at Southwark Crown Court. Following his arrest Liu had been bailed on condition that he have no unsupervised contact with children under 18. But in August 2018 he was able to continue working unsupervised with children.
