Chatila gems raid trial scrapped after death of Hatton Garden burglar
The trial of Hatton Garden raider Terry Perkins, for a £40m raid on a luxury jewellers five years earlier, has been scrapped following his death behind bars. Perkins died aged 69 on 5 February whilst serving a seven-year sentence for his part in the ‘largest burglary in English legal history’.
