Cop jailed for abducting teenager

A police officer who abducted a teenage girl from outside her care home has been jailed for three and a half years. Elliot Wright, 29, exchanged hundreds of messages with the vulnerable teenager while offering her alcohol and cigarettes. Wright was working for the roads policing unit for Bedfordshire Police when he arranged to meet the 17-year-old after finishing work on 21 March this year.
