Drug addict was charity inspiration

A woman who overdosed on her mother’s painkillers had been the inspiration for a family support charity, an inquest heard. Carla Winter, 24, was brought up by Susan Winter, who set up the Wandsworth branch of Home-Start after her experiences of raising her adopted children.
