Eighteen Extinction Rebellion protestors face court
Eighteen climate protestors appeared in court today (mon) accused of involvement in the Extinction Rebellion protests across the capital last month. The group, whose ages ranged from 22 to 68, occupied Parliament Square, Waterloo Bridge and Oxford Circus during Extinction Rebellion’s week-long bid to highlight climate breakdown. Police had issued an order requiring all protestors to assemble at Marble Arch only, after traffic in central London was paralysed.
