Facing jail for running fire alarms slush fund

A businessman who bribed a pair of council contractors with a ‘tsunami of cash’ in return for lucrative fire alarms deals is facing jail. Costas Polycarpou, 41, paid out nearly £90,000 allowing Hackney Council maintenance subcontractor Lee Wylie, 47, to ‘live the life of Riley’.
