Fake Uber IDs put passengers at ‘significant risk’

A Uber boss has blamed ‘sophisticated fraudsters’ for the identity scandal which allowed passengers to take more than 14,000 trips with bogus drivers. Jamie Heywood, boss of Uber Europe, said he company was ‘transparent’ and ‘open’ when giving information to TfL about the issue.
