Falcon egg smuggler is dying from cancer

A notorious smuggler of rare bird species dubbed the ‘Pablo Escobar of eggs’ was allowed bail today (mon) because he has terminal prostate cancer. Jeffrey Lendrum, 58, was caught in Brazil with four albino falcon eggs stolen from Patagonia and jailed for four-and-a-half years in October 2015.
