Firebug set blaze at Buckingham Palace

A firebug started a blaze outside the gates of Buckingham Palace and demanded to speak to the King, a court heard today. Romanian-born Christian Gheorghe, 31, caused £300 worth of damage when he set light to a pile of cardboard boxes. Gheorghe was spotted by members of the Royalty Speciality Protection team at the north gate shortly after 10pm on 20 October last year.
