Former Barnsley assistant manager in court on bribery charges

The former assistant manager of Barnsley FC appeared in court today with two agents following a newspaper investigation into corruption in the game. Former Middlesbrough and Leeds winger Tommy Wright, 52, is said to have accepted a £5,000 cash ‘bribe’ in a meeting with undercover journalists in the Daily Telegraph probe in 2016.
