Hotel chain staff accused of £24k booking fraud
Fraudsters conned a multinational hotel chain out of more than £24,000 by falsely claiming commission on room bookings, a court heard. The crooks, led by two insiders at the Intercontinental Hotels Group, funnelled the cash through a bogus travel firm with an account at the Islamic Bank of Britain.
