‘I killed barman in 1980’

An alleged killer walked into a police station and confessed to the murder of a barman 42 years ago, a court heard. Anthony Bird, 42, was found in his flat in Bentley Court, Kensington Square Gardens, on 6 June 1980 naked and bound at his wrists and ankle.
