Investors who lost £148m to bent lawyer Timothy Schools will share £1m in compensation

A crooked solicitor who made £146m from fraud was ordered to pay £1m to his victims or face another five years in prison. Timothy Schools, 65, was jailed for 14 years in August 2022 for pocketing cash invested into Cayman Islands-registered Axiom Legal Financing Fund. Schools, of Sedbergh, Cumbria, had called his firm ‘ATM’ because he could simply withdraw wads of cash whenever he fancied. He ran a scheme financing loans to law firms for ‘no win no fee’ cases….
