A former property solicitor who used his expert knowledge to hide nearly £500,000 from his creditors was jailed for 12 months and branded a ‘thoroughly dishonest’ man. Jeffrey Lygoe, 70, was facing bankruptcy with debts of more than £462,000 when he sold his £1.2m family home in Cambridge.
