Jail for asylum seeker who brandished knife in handbag raid

An asylum seeker who pulled on a balaclava to terrorise department store staff and grab Hermes handbags worth more than £70,000 has been jailed for two years and eight months. Akeem Lutchman-Singh, 22, brandished a Rambo knife in the 35 second raid at the Design Exchange in Knightsbridge on 20 October 2024.
