Two fraudsters who stole more £400,000 from six elderly victims by carrying out faked and sub-standard building work have been jailed for nine years Sonny Maughan, 28, and Emmanuel Scarrott, 29, targeted homes in Chatham, Herne Bay and Longfield, telling residents their roof or chimney was dangerous and needed to be repaired urgently.
