Jail for cop who shared 40,000 intimate messages with domestic abuse victim

A Met Police officer who passed on confidential information to a woman as they shared over 40,000 intimate messages has been jailed. Daniel Humphreys, 38, met the woman on duty while attending a 999 call to arrest her boyfriend in an allegation of assault on July 4, 2019. The case was dropped, but the officer messaged the woman on his phone ‘almost immediately’, Southwark Crown Court heard. The two ‘developed a sexual relationship’ and Humphreys called her his ‘Polish unicorn.’…
