Jemima Khan was ‘stalked by her taxi driver’
A taxi driver bombarded socialite Jemima Khan with hundreds of messages and calls and threatened to go to her house after dropping her off in his taxi, a court heard today.
Hassan Mahhmood, 27, allegedly embarked on a year-long harassment campaign against the billionaire’s daughter after picking her up in his cab.
He saved Ms Khan’s phone number after the ride and between June 2016 and July this year sent her hundreds of unwanted messages and made calls asking her to meet up.
Mahhmood also threatened to turn up at Ms Khan’s address in Fulham, south west London.
Prosecutor Julien Becker said ‘taxi or mini cab driver’ Mahhmood ‘bombarded’ Ms Khan with more than 400 messages and ‘repeatedly’ called her phone.
‘He made attempts to establish contact even after she told him she did not want it,’ he said.
Mahhmood also threatened to turn up at Ms Khan’s address in Fulham, south west London but never actually attended the address, said Mr Becker.
At Westminster Magistrates’ Court Mahhmood, of Warwick Road, Waltham Forest, wearing a blue suit, denied one count of stalking and indicated a not guilty plea to one count of harassment.
Deputy Senior District Judge Tan Ikram released him on conditional bail not to contact Ms Khan or to go to any address he knows or believes she may be residing.
Mahhmood will next appear at Isleworth Crown Court on 28 September for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

All court staff outside court have said it is the famous socialite Jemima Khan, also known as Jemima Goldsmith.
Jemima Khan owns a property on Britannia Road in Fulham SW6 in the same area as a court restriction, that was lifted, that Mahhmood not go to SW6 where the victim is.
When Tracesmart and electoral role was searched for ‘Jamima Khan SW6’ the only result that came up was ‘Jemima Khan Britannia Studios, Britannia Road SW6 2HJ’.
