Joey Barton gets suspended sentence for assaulting his wife

Joey Barton  has been convicted of assaulting his wife by pushing her to the floor and kicking her in the head. The former Man City midfielder, 42, left Georgia Barton, 38, (corr) with a ‘golf ball’ sized-lump on her head after threatening to fight her brother and father.
