Judge holds eco protester in contempt for climate lecture to jury

Four climate protesters who stopped traffic on a major London road during rush hour have been convicted of causing a public nuisance. Insulate Britain activists Julie Mecoli, 68, Stefania Morosi, 45, history professor Nicholas Till, 67, and teacher Louise Lancaster, 57, blocked traffic on Upper Thames Street on 25 October 2021. Lancaster was also found to be in contempt of court after she lectured the jury on climate change despite being warned by judge Silas Reid not to do so….
