Judge jails Algerian muggers to stop London becoming the ‘Wild West’

Two Algerian muggers who tried to steal a Rolex watch from an Australian tourist were jailed for three years each after a judge said central London should not be allowed to ‘become the Wild West’. Chef Abdesselam Ouamane, 37, and Tariq Djadi, 27, targeted Australian Philip Cooper at 10:40am on Oxford Street on 5 September 2023.
