Judge slams CPS over aborted assault trial
An ‘infuriated’ judge blasted the Crown Prosecution Service today (TUES) when an assault case collapsed after three aborted trials. Judge Nicholas Loraine-Smith cleared Mohamed Namdar, 27, of grievous bodily harm as it emerged prosecutors failed to disclose the victim Ayoub Ahmed had initially withdrawn his complaint.
