Labour councillor ‘pinched woman in cocktail bar’

A Labour councillor pinched a woman’s a cocktail bar and invited her to the toilets  a court heard. Daniel Lee-Phakoe, 39, allegedly assaulted the woman during a social function at the Devonshire Terrace near Liverpool Street station on 5 May 2023. The father-of-four, who has since resigned as a councillor for Plaistow North in Newham, east London, denies sexual assault.
