Lecturer who tried to kill wife outside school jailed for 22 years

A university lecturer who stabbed his estranged wife more than ten times outside their child’s parents’ evening was jailed for at least 22 years today (tues). Dr Ying Zhang, 55, would have killed Hannan Xiao, 52, if electrician Richard O’Brien had not intervened by kicking him in the head with a steel toe-capped boot.
