A Filipino nurse has been spared jail after killing a pensioner by giving him the wrong blood transfusion when she confused the name ‘Huseyin’ with ‘Hussain.’ Lea Ledesma’s criminal negligence caused the death of 75-year-old Ali Huseyin at the London Heart Hospital in Westmoreland Street on 7 May, 2014.
