Mining giant BHP demands more fee insurance as costs balloon

A mining company fighting dam burst compensation claims will have racked up legal fees of up to £108m for a 22 week trial, the High Court heard. Industry giant BHP applied for opposing lawyers Pogust Goodhead to more than double the insurance money available for 600,000 claimants if they lose the trial later this year and have to pay costs.
