Muslim preacher told gay man he ‘spread AIDS’

A homophobic preacher taunted a gay man was Speaker’s Corner and said he was responsible for the deaths of 26 million people by ‘spreading AIDS,’ a court heard. Omar Mohamad, 66, known as ‘Uncle Omar’, was convicted of using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress at City of London Magistrates’ Court last year.
