Nurse accused in baby death case said care was fine

A senior midwife accused of misconduct in death of a newborn baby initially claimed the care provided had been ‘very good’, a tribunal heard today. The assessment by Lisa Granville ‘flavoured’ the subsequent investigation, which meant investigators did not ‘deem it necessary’ to speak to the two midwives involved.
