NURSE CLEARED OVER LAXATIVE CLAIMS
A care home manager was cleared of ordering staff to give elderly patients excessive amounts of laxatives and suppositories today (MON). Vasanta Suddock was said to have overseen a ‘medieval purge’ at the Warberries Nursing Home in Torquay, Devon. Her colleagues claimed infirm patients were left dehydrated and weak as they begged staff not to make them take the drugs.
