Old Bailey trial for nicking Uncle Ali’s knife

An intruder stole a kitchen knife from his uncle’s kebab house while banned from the eatery, a court heard. Erdem Dirik, 34, turned up at Ali Dirik’s restaurant Mangal 2 in Stoke Newington, grabbed a blade and put it in his jacket pocket.
