Oligarch ‘wanted in Moldova for multi-billion pound laundering scheme’

An oligarch accused of masterminding a money laundering scheme that saw billions of pounds in Russian money pour into Europe and the US appeared in court with his cousin. Former Moldovan MP Veaceslav Platon, 52, was allegedly involved in a scheme which saw vast sums of criminal cash through the country’s banking system with the help of corrupt judges.
