Opera singer ‘drugged’ wealthy widow

An opera singer who claims to have performed for the Queen used drugs to cheat a wealthy widow out of more than £100,000, a court heard. Andrew Amdur, 48, is said to have fleeced Elizabeth Shaheen, 67, by pretending he would organise a party in memory of her late husband.
