‘Pablo Escobar of eggs’ to battle extradition to Brazil

A notorious smuggler of rare bird species dubbed the ‘Pablo Escobar of eggs’ will fight extradition to Brazil next month, a court heard. Jeffrey Lendrum, 58, was caught in Brazil with four albino falcon eggs stolen from Patagonia and jailed for four-and-a-half-years in October 2015. But he fled Brazil when he was released on bail to appeal against his sentence. Brazilian prosecutors are now seeking his extradition so that he could serve his sentence. Lendrum was jailed for 37 months…
