Pensioner downloaded child abuse images to ‘give it a go’

A retired IT worker who collected 7,000 vile images of child sexual abuse because he wanted to ‘give it a go’ has been spared jail. John Stoddart, 65, compiled a horrific collection of 7,256 indecent images 754 videos from as far as 2004. The pensioner, from Ventnor, Isle of Wight, also kept 3,000 images related to bestiality.
