People smuggler charged boat migrants £1,500 a trip

An Iraqi boss of an international people smuggling gang has been jailed for over ten years. Ramal Briem, 33, callously referred to migrants as ‘chickens’ as he discussed small boat crossings from Northern France to the UK with a fellow trafficker.
